We need history of the
Hoshangabad
&
Babai town
1- Hoshangabad.
The city was earlier called Narmadapur after the Narmada river. Later the name was changed to Hoshangabad after Hoshang Shah Gori, the first ruler of Malwa Sultanate..

Hoshangabad was founded by Sultan Hoshang Shah of Malwa in 1406, and it served as a defense against Gond invaders. It was constituted a municipality in 1867. The city is an agricultural trade centre and is engaged in paper milling and the manufacture of roofing tiles, brass ware, and bamboo canes.

Who was the king of Hoshangabad?

Its name appeared first in the historical records during the reign of Sultan Hoshangshah Ghori in 1405 A.D who built a small fort at Hoshangabad along with two others at Handia and Joga..

2- Babai town

Babai, officially Makhan Nagar is a town and a nagar panchayat in Hoshangabad district in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India. It is the birthplace of the noted Hindi poet Makhanlal Chaturvedi.
